Denise Burton, Design Principal at the IBM Design Studio in Austin, Texas, sat down with our Director for UX, Séamus Byrne to talk about the recently concluded UX Ireland conference and her session on design language systems.
Over the last two decades, Denise has worked for some of Europe’s top brands. In the 90s, she helped design and deliver the first GUI (Graphical User Interface) for managing the IBM RISC System/6000 at IBM.
Denise also helped grow the frog Austin studio – building new teams, processes, and products. Her influence at frog entailed a global influence.
In 2013, Denise rejoined IBM to help transition the 400,000-strong corporation into a design-led company.
Denise has always had a passion for making. In her role, she does what she loves – building teams that bridge disciplines; building better ways to work and building products that change lives.
