Practical UX Course Summary: February 2017
March 23, 2017 David Williams

On the 15th March, the final class of our 4-Week Practical UX Course took place at The Irish Times Building, Dublin. Throughout the 4 weeks the topics covered included:

  • An Introduction to User Experience Design,
  • User Research Methods,
  • Visualising Research, and
  • How to run a Usability Test with Real Users.

The course was led by Séamus Byrne, our Director of User Experience Design at Graphic Mint, who has worked in Europe and North America as a designer. His experience involves creating easy to use, meaningful products and customer experiences for multinational and SME companies for over 15 years.

During the course, attendees participated in hands-on activities where they learned methods to empathise with and better understand their users. These activities were practical and could be implemented by the participants in their everyday work environments.

Feedback from the attendees has been very positive!

If you are interested in attending a future UX Academy event or want to find out more about our In-House Training services check out our website. Our next event is a 1 Day Design Leadership Workshop led by Dave Malouf, who delivered this workshop at a sold out Interaction 17 event in New York earlier this year.

Attendee Feedback

“The interactive nature of this course – along with the examples, knowledge and experience shared by Seamus – generated some really great ideas, insights and tools that I am confident I can apply in my day-to-day projects.”
